This new title from German publisher Luftfahrt Verlag will showcase for the first time ever, roughly 180 wartime black + white and 30 RARE color photos of Heavy Tiger Tank Battalion 508. None of these images have ever been published before. Since the end of World War II the photos have remained in the private hands of the German veteran who took them during his time with this famed Tiger tank battalion.

Since he was the official unit photographer from 1942 when the unit first fought in Africa as Panzer Regiment 8, and then later when it was reformed into Heavy Tank Battalion 508 which fought primarily in Italy against the Allies.

The photos are really amazing and they show glimpses into the daily life of a panzer crewmen. There are some really incredible photos showing Tiger tanks and support equipment serving at the front lines. All the images have been scanned from the original negatives for optimum quality. The black and white photos alone will make this book a must have, along with the really nice color photos taken during the war years.
