This third volume is devoted to the soldiers' and military themed subjects displayed at the Munich art exhibition. A really interesting selection of works are shown. Many of the paintings show fighting scenes at the front, weapons and soldiers, portraits of popular painters of that time period by artists like Claus Bergen, Franz Eichhorst, Rudolf Lipus, Paul Mathias Padua, Wolfgang Willrich. All of it in full color and many are being shown for the first time.
The accompanying German text goes into detail about the great art collections of Hitler, Goering, Goebbels, Ribbentrop and Speer with the topic on art theft as well as the fate of Nazi art and what happened to it all in 1945 when the war ended.
